Fact: We Cannot Live Without Music And Here’s Why
Music is one of those things in the world that connects people. There is no race, religion or politics when you listen to music. No fights and nothing else matters but the music when you are listening in. you can see how much this unites us when we go to concerts. While in that concert, you don’t judge other people that are attending for their choice of clothes or their race or what they’re trying to represent. You all are there for the music and that’s what matters.
Music is important. And we can’t live without it even if we say we don’t like it.
It makes learning more pleasant
Since it has the ability to soothe us, it make concentrating a lot easier at times. At least there are a lot of us who find listening to music productive when we are either studying or reading something. If set the tone right, you can even make the music the background for what is happening in the book you would be reading. If you are studying, it makes it more interesting to memorise and learn because when you listen to that song again later, you would be feeling a sense of familiarity since a particular song could be associated with what you were studying. If you hate studying, just listen to music while you study.
It makes you express emotion
It does, doesn’t it? Wasn’t there a time where you would be tearing up when you listened to music? Or feel something deep and resonating when you listen to a song with beautiful lyrics? How about when you feel excited or empowered with a song with a particularly good beat comes up? Isn’t that why we dance most of the time? Because the music makes us FEEL? In a way, isn’t that how music makes us express emotion? Because that is how it is for me. You can admit that you don’t dance or like to dance, but you can’t deny that sometimes the right kind of music makes you want to move.
It makes us creative
When you are an artist, creating is inevitable. Whether you are a musician or a songwriter, it makes no difference because music IS creation. If music is made, then there is creation. Listening to MUSIC itself makes us feel creative. Like how I always seem to be active in my writing whenever I listen to music. I write while I listen to music. Sometimes I play a playlist depending on what I’m writing. If I’m writing a story that I’m trying to figure out, I listen to music that matches the genre of my story. If it’s an article like this one, I listen to basically anything. But I find the most effective music to do so are actually the ones without lyrics.
